About us

We are a family-run business with 40 years of experience in the recycling industry.

As parents, we quickly noticed how fast children outgrow their toys. What also became apparent was the lack of dedicated facilities in the UK for toy reuse and recycling neither the toy industry nor local authorities had addressed this gap.

Plastic waste is a severe global problem, especially with discarded plastics polluting rivers and oceans. Shockingly, plastic toys make up 90% of the toy market, yet most are not recyclable. Despite this, unwanted and discarded toys, particularly those made of plastic, remain overlooked by many organisations focused on recycling and plastic waste reduction.

Toys 4 Life is dedicated to providing a practical solution to this issue. We collect reusable plastic toys and send them to communities in need, including those in developing countries and socially deprived areas, where new toys are often unaffordable. Additionally, we are collaborating with plastic recycling companies in the UK to close the gap in recycling for any damaged toys, ensuring they are properly processed and kept out of our environment.

Certifications

In August 2024, C & M Global achieved certification in both ISO9001 and ISO14001. These globally recognised standards for quality management systems (QMS) and environmental management systems (EMS) marked significant milestones in the company’s ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional quality and customer satisfaction and minimising our environmental impact.

In August 2024, C & M Global achieved TRUST certification.

TRUST provides certification to companies that purchase goods from charity retailers, giving charities the confidence that their goods will be collected in a timely manner, that they will be paid promptly, and that the traders are obeying the law and upholding high standards in their operations. Behind TRUST is an audit process that looks at the areas of sound business practice, health and safety, working conditions, environmental sustainability, and compliance with transport regulations.

TRUST certification is evidence that our company’s standards have been certified in a transparent and objective way, and that an external auditor has approved our processes.
